During a FAB event!
I found a dress in a local bridal shop that I just love and I’m hoping you will have it at your show for a better price. Can I send you a picture of the dress, and will you let me know before I come to your sale if you have it, and what your price for the dress would be?
Do I need to make an appointment during your sale?
No, no appointment is necessary. You will find a large dressing area where dozens of brides will be trying on gowns, swapping dresses, all giving their two cents worth, and having a great time watching each other try on beautiful gowns.
Can I bring a friend to your event?
Absolutely! Bring your mom, your best friend, your bridesmaids, ANYONE you’d like! Why some of our brides even bring the groom,{but he must stay out of the dressing room} And speaking of the dressing rooms, please wear appropriate panties for trying on wedding gowns. No thongs please!
What does it cost to attend, and where can I buy tickets?
What does it cost? Why absolutely nothing! Why on earth would you pay to attend an event to purchase the gown of your dreams? We are honored that you chose to spend your day with us, and hope to make it an amazing, memorable time that you will look back on for years when reminiscing about shopping for your dream wedding dress.
What styles of wedding gowns do you carry?
If you can think it, we probably have it in stock! Either at an event or in our warehouse! Princess ball gown wedding dresses, mermaid and trumpet style wedding gowns, strapless wedding gowns, halter wedding gowns, backless wedding gowns, long sleeve wedding gowns, plus size wedding gowns, empire and sheath style wedding dresses, Chelsea Clinton wedding gown look a-likes. You name it; we have it, or have had it, and will have it again! Our wedding gown inventory literally changes daily.
DIY wedding gowns are out of the question, unless you are looking for a great gown to alter to your specifications. There is quite a difference between a cheap wedding gown and an affordable wedding gown! No bride wants to wear a cheap wedding gown, but a fabulous wedding gown at an affordable price, now that’s a different story! We have NO cheap wedding gowns at our events, but we do have amazing prices, beginning as low as $99!
Depending on the day, we have gowns from dozens of designers, including Maggie Sottero, Monique Lhuillier, Allure, Pronovias, Alfred Angelo, Eden, Mary’s Bridal, Mon Cheri, Mori Lee, Priscilla of Boston, Bonnie, Christina Wu, DaVinci, Forever Yours, Impressions, Jasmine, Private Label by G, and many, many more!
Where do your gowns come from?
All our gowns are NEW dresses, not left over, unwanted, outdated, used or consignment dresses! Upscale bridal shops nationwide join with us to sell their overstock and recently discontinued merchandise during our events. If you are a bridal shop wishing to join us and include your inventory during an event near you, please contact fran.hansen@fabulousaffordablebridal.com
What are the prices on your wedding gowns? And do you take Visa?
Our gowns begin as low as $99 and depending on the current inventory may range as high as $4,000 for a $20,000 wedding gown. That is a savings of 80% off! On average, our brides will spend between $200 and $350 for a wedding dress that originally sold for up to $2,000. Savings range from 25% to 85% depending on current stock. Yes, we take Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We also take cash with proper ID. (Kidding ) Please note that there are NO refunds and all sales are final. It is important that you carefully examine your gown and confirm that you are certain this is the gown of your dreams. We do provide EXCHANGES ONLY for three days following your purchase, with original sales receipt, and gown in exact condition it was received.
Do you have special order gowns available at your events or can I only buy off the rack?
Yes, we have a selection of currently re-orderable gowns available during each show, and will be happy to call the manufacturer while you are waiting to confirm whether they have the gown in stock for immediate shipment, or what the anticipated arrival date would be for an out of stock special order. Special ordered bridal gowns generally take anywhere from 3-6 months to arrive. Depending on the designer and the gown you select, rush service may be available with a fee. Upon arrival in our Portland, Oregon warehouse, the gown will immediately be shipped to you!
However, we have a FABULOUS inventory of over 1,000 gowns that will be available for immediate purchase during that event!
Do you carry plus sizes? Do you carry small sizes?
Yes, we have a great selection of plus sizes available for immediate purchase in sizes 14 – 32. The best news is, if you don’t find the perfect gown off the rack, our inventory of current re-orderable gowns is available in sizes up to 34W! Our small sizes include 2, 4 and 6’s, and rarely, we could have a zero in stock! We have over 1000 gowns in sizes 8 – 12.
Can I see your gowns, and order a Fabulous gown online?
At this time, we are working toward an internet showroom to sell gowns online. However, because the gowns sell so quickly during events, this inventory selection will likely be a completely different selection of gowns than found at the events. In other words, just because you see it and can buy it online, does not mean you will see that particular gown during an upcoming event.
What is your policy on photography?
Take as many photos as you like! HOWEVER, we must restrict photography in the dressing room, only to protect the privacy of others. There are so many brides-to-be in several stages of dressing at any one moment! If you would like to send a photo to a friend or loved one far way before you purchase, we are happy to set you aside, take the photograph for you and send it immediately on your behalf!
Do you have a seamstress you suggest to make alterations to my gown?
Yes, there will be seamstresses on site during the event to give you expert advice and to tell you what can and cannot be done to make changes to the gown you are considering. Of course, you are welcome to bring your own seamstress to the event!
Do you loan out your gowns for photo shoots or special events?
Due to the delicate characteristics of wedding gowns, they are not loaned out for photo shoots. However, special consideration is given to members of the press, and gowns will be provided to television studios sharing our FABULOUS story.
Does Fran Hansen make a personal appearance at every FAB event, or just West Coast cities?
Yes, during 2011/2012, Fran will be in attendance, at least one day, at every event nationwide. She looks forward to meeting you there and invites you to bring all your wedding related questions.
